Trapped Chests

Besides Mimics, Cinders adds a variety of trapped chests through the different locations of the game. These chests can be one of the following types.

Toxic Mist Chest

These chests emit a cloud of Toxic mist when oppened.

Locations

Undead Settlement:

• The chest with the Accursed Scroll.
• The chest with the Beast Cutter and Wargod Wooden Shield.

Farron Keep:

• The chest with the Fallen Knight Set.

Irithyll Dungeon:

• The chest with the Bloodstained Gauntlets.
• The chest with the Black Metal Hat.

Acid Surge Chest

These chests emit a corrosive acid cloud that reduces the durability of equipment.

Locations

Irithyll Dungeon:

• The chest with the Old Cell Key.

Profaned Capital:

• The chest with Yhorm's Set.

Combustion Chest

These chests explode when oppened, inflicting Fire damage.

Locations

Smouldering Lake:

• The chest with the Izalith Staff.
• The chest with the Witch's Staff.

Enemy Ambush Chest

These chests are guarded by enemies that will show themselves after opening the chest.

Locations

Undead Settlement:

• The chest with one Rubbish.
• The chest with the Mirrah Set.
• The chest with the Outrider Knight Armor Set.

Farron Keep:

• The chest with the Golden Scroll and Antiquated Set.

Catacombs of Carthus:

• The chest with the Carthus Blindfold.
• The chest with the Scythe of Want and Shield of Want.
