Known Bugs

You can report bugs either by joining the Cinders Discord or by editing this page (you need a Wikidot account to edit the page).

Before reporting a bug:

  • Not all bugs are caused by the mod, check if the bug you want to report is from vanilla first.
  • Check if the "bug" is really a bug, and not something the mod changed to be like that (search in the wiki or ask in Discord if you don't know about it).
  • Check if the bug has already been reported previously in the wiki or Discord (to do a search in Discord press ctrl+f while in the bug-reports channel, then enter the search keyword/s).
  • Make sure you are using the last playest version before reporting a bug.
  • If you are using one of the the Nexus releases, check first if the bug has been fixed in the current playtest, if it isn't then state your mod version with the report (to see the current playtest fixes and changes check the changelog here.
  • Provide as much information as possible about the circumstances around the bug (area where it happens, equipment you were using, does it happen always under the same conditions, etc.).
  • Do not report unhandled exception error crashes unless they always happen under the same circumstances, in this case explain as much as possible the conditions around it.
  • Remember there is a plethora of bugs that can be fixed or not, just reporting a bug doesn't mean it will get fixed, there are cases were this is not possible.

Big Bugs

  • T-Pose Hexer body in the stat menu/trial of perseverance.
  • Bosses randomly dying when getting invaded during co-op sessions/online.
  • Enemies not reacting to the player and standing until killed.
  • Some weapons don't show the buffs visual effects like the phosephorent pole and the chikage or some are incorrectly displayed like the beast claw.
  • If you are holding Quelagg's Furysword and two hand your left hand weapon the fire effect will go onto the left hand weapon. If quelaag is in your left, both weapons light in fire.
  • NPC model swapping to the player's during cutscenes.
  • Summoning a friend into it breaks the trial, causing no enemies to spawn but give you wave rewards every six seconds.
  • Red eyes effect random placement on enemies.

  • Respawning in the Undented Graves/trial after dying/area load.

  • Fire storm spells being able to be casted without meeting the full FP cost (vanilla bug).
  • Aquamarine dagger run WA does not trigger when using the dashmaster's string.
  • Stamina recovery penalty from blocking/stance/hold bow WA/dragon head stone removed while moving with the dashmaster's string.
  • Ringed City Streets - If you get on the ladder to go to Ledo/areas above from the Curse Swamp, you continue building Curse until you climb off at the top. If you get on the ladder from the top, you do not gain any Curse until just above where you climb off onto the swamp.
  • Screen filled with random menu icons (vanilla bug).
  • Broken stairs in the cathedral of the deep after the first elevator-shortcut (vanilla bug).
  • Fountain objects with no textures.
  • Mark of Canis enemies are invisible for phantoms (as well as they can't hurt each other, though the MoC enemies do aggro on them).
  • Equipment textures breaking when swapping certain equipment pieces.
  • Boss enemies not dying at the same time as their animation, disabling bonfires when it happens near them.
  • Icons for the mod covenants are blank.

  • Broken music during corrupted/champion gundyr fights.
  • Phantom players can obtain unique drops from defeated enemies.
  • Echo of black knight in firelink shrine seed tree sometimes randomly disappears/reappears in the middle of the fight.
  • Lock-on on enemies outside boss rooms while fightning them.
  • Enemies getting stuck inside the walls of the trial.

  • Dashmaster's string restricts rolls to only back-left, forward-left, forward, forward-right and back-right while lock-on on an enemy.
  • Broken bonfire fog when using Devil's Trumpet https://discordapp.com/channels/634519927331749898/634520030998036500/710452755646644274.
  • Ring of momentum having no animation cancel depending on weapon class equipped and whether if it's 1 or 2 handed.
  • The player does not correctly hold the Crypt Blacksword.
  • Silver knight straight sword can't do charged R2 attacks.
  • Two goblets during the animation and no altar in wolnir's room.
  • Irithyll dungeon and lordran remnants bonfires become unusable after warping to them from another area.
  • If you use the warp at the smouldering lake that gets you to the upper level with the ballista and then save/quit, then reload, you will appear at the entrance of the catacombs instead of next to the ballista.
  • Reversal ring breaks the two handed hold animations of weapons for female characters.
  • Blue crystal lizards explode if not killed before they disappear.
  • Commune-warping to Dreg Heap, then dying without activating the Dreg Heap Bonfire causes Wrong Warp to Untended Graves.
  • Immolation pyromancy lasts 20 seconds with an ascended Flame instead of the intended 30 seconds.

Small Bugs

  • Lothric's scythe can't backstab/riposte enemies nor do the plunge attack to kill the Ancient Wyvern.
  • Boulder giant from CoA in irithyll uses the ball as a diaper during the attack were he grabs and crushes the floor with his hand.
  • Courtier gloves break the sleeves of the garb, and the trousers clip through it.
  • Using a lucky infused weapon on the offhand makes bows randomly activate the random damage effect, consecutive shots break it tho and it stops working.
  • The consecutive shot thing is what also breaks the ring of punishment making it not work on bows.
  • The Axe wielding Winged Knights in the Trial sometimes throw invisible axes.
  • Using the NG+ tree and walking away from it without choosing any option triggers the fire keeper dialogue.
  • The one-handed r2 of the obsidian greatsword has the sound effect of the 2handed r1 of a greatsword even if it's a thrust, and it does the sound even if the thrust is done without hitting anything.
  • After killing anri and horace in road of sacrifices, anri can't be summoned for the deacons boss fight while horace can be summoned.
  • Hair goes through the Footman's Hood
  • Istarelle WA does no damage to mimics.
  • Rematching Wolnir via dream/nightmare closes the door behind you so you can't go back towards the hanging bridge.
  • Abyssal greatsword requires twice the amount of hits to proc the effects of the right/left eye rings (probably carthus beacon too?).
  • Abyssal greatsword does the full damage of critical attacks on the first hit and 0 on the second.
  • Scythe of Nahr Alma has no hitbox on its edge for its R2 attack.
  • Enemy forms + wax bugged
  • Equipping the footman's hood with the shadow garb removes the hood (only visually on your character appearance).
  • Abyss watcher echoes do not drop the farron rings +1/2/3.
  • One of the 2 CoA hollows (the one with a broken straight sword) right before the archdragon peak warp in high wall blocks with his bare hand as if he was using a shield.

Oversights

  • The twin axe winged fatty in high wall has the lothric castle drops (slab/etc).
  • Manikin clothes have clipping issues with the female character model.
